As the 26th UN Climate Change conference (COP26) concluded in Glasgow, it was clear that this ambitious conference had produced developments that were not only high in numbers; but also in complexity. It is vital for us to accelerate climate actions and empower customers and future generations to consume less energy, conserve resources, and identify pathways to achieve healthy, net zero carbon buildings and communities. (40% of our energy resources is tied within the built environment)
- Will the pledges and conversations which take place at COP26 be translated into meaningful and effective actions?
- How can organizations take actions that are both good for the environment and business?
- What is the best way to reduce the carbon footprints of existing buildings?
- What are the new strategies for urban planning and the construction of new buildings?
- What are the passive strategies as well as active strategies available to bring buildings from super low energy to net zero?
- What are the considerations that we need to address at the planning and construction phase of a new building so that building owners are set up for success as they operate their assets with sustainability?
- How will sustainability invariably drive a net positive and elevate enterprise value? ~ Tax reductions, Depressed interest rates, reduced insurance premiums, green bonds.
